A shadow meets the light … When someone needs to disappear, the Chicago mob calls on Joe Rossi. This review has been a long time coming. Once again Bethany-Kris creates a world we want to escape into and never get out of.
Liliana is the mafia princess ballerina who meets Joe Rossi.
A ghost teaches a shadow, but a shadow can be seen at just the right angles in the right light. They take a chance on love but first the past has to be realty with the dark brought to light, and a wrong corrected.
Liliana isn’t weak. She shows incredible strength and determination. Joe is a beacon for her, a reminder of what truth and reality is.
The background story is beautifully written and hits many points on the nail. I love how BK does her characters credit and justice with facts in a fictional word.
This was a long-awaited story and I’m happy to have finally read it.
I loved seeing familiar characters in a laid back way but still with their edge of danger. Those Marcello men....
If you’re already a BK fan, you’ll find her signature quotes in the book. Add them to your vocabulary.
This is a story that will hook you and leave you wanting more.
